BIOGRAPHY

Mary Elizabeth Finan is a Canadian fine artist practicing in Ottawa, Canada. Originally from the Ottawa Valley, her practice is greatly influenced by a creative upbringing provided by family members. Her primary artistic focus consists of both painting and sculpture. By exploring these mediums with a variety of materials, she hopes to create artworks that convey a sense of "beauty" to the viewer.

Currently, Mary Elizabeth is attending a Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the University of Ottawa to further cultivate her artistic direction. While focusing on the creative process, she also documents her artistic journey on social media. In life, she prescribes the saying: paint what you dream, when in search of inspiration, as she finds that it is often in our subconscious thoughts where true creative movement develops.
